In 2014, I quit my job to become a freelancer after another week of longing for the weekend.
At that time, I didn’t have any contacts, experience or knowledge and had no idea how I would pay my bills.
I felt like I was stuck on a hamster-wheel trying to land clients, finish work and make enough money.
All of this culminated in mid-2015 when my Grandma became very ill. While I wanted to spend quality time with her, my thoughts were occupied by worrying about making enough money. I had to decide between working as hard as possible to keep my freelance business afloat, or making time for my family.
The answer was no-brainer. Family is always the most important.
My freelance work fell apart and I barely made it through the first few months. It was finally time to “go back to work”I was disillusioned by the freelancing industry.
